:bulletblue: After 5 years, after 3 games and after much speculation we finally have an official in game Turian female. It's shame that Bioware didn't decide to include Turian female models in the main game, because now it feels like a token girl and not much more. Also the fact that it will be featured in the paid Omega DLC makes it even more bittersweet, but hey it's still better than nothing. The DLC will appear on November 27th and will cost 1200 Bioware/Microsoft points. Tell us what you think about her:

:bulletblue: For a little comparison I'll hotlink a picture of Lieutenant Abrudas, the very first Turian female shown in the Mass Effect Evolution comic:

:bulletblue:  In other news - the first N7 Day is coming our way fast. The celebration is schedueled for November 7th. You can find more information about it on the official Mass Effect facebook page: www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbi…

Is it really worth buying the DLC's mass effect 3?

Because I'm having trouble deciding after I beat the game and watched that horrendous ending ( and Exteded Cut )...it realllllyyyy lowered my expectations on buying DLC's

unlike Mass Effect 2 after the awesome ending I was pumped in buying them, but now I don't know...I really want to like mass effect again.

"Token girl?" I don't think so. She looks excellent and she does have a fringe, it's just not as pronounced as the males.

I like it. Pretty much everything I wanted to see from the female turian design. Of course, if they make the back of her neck look like it has plating or at least scales, she'd be perfect.

So clearly no fringe... but Garrus told Shepard during the Romance scene in game 2 that if she were a turian, he'd compliment her fringe. If females don't have fringe, does that mean Garrus is usually into male turians?

I don't like design on this pictures. Modeler of course did a great job sculpting the model I can see that already, but she have lots of things that I personally don't like to see in female of avian/dinosaur species like Turians. That she looks all too human is first. And she look so much alike that I would give my FemShep her upper body(as we don't see the rest) and everyone would think it's her party costume. Only her eyes are nice and fit for Turian lady. Aside from human proportions front of the face looks ok and I could live with such female, but profile is not so good looking, and she don't have that specific neck shape that is part of Turian charm. Lack of fringe of course is second big issue. I would buy it if she was supposed to be teenager but in adult - NOOO. Garrus said everyone knows what, about it. Don't know if she have plates on the top and back of her head like males, cant see on the picture(i'm talking about plate under fringe not that reduced version of fringe she have on her head). Lack of those would be very bad for science approach to Turian species and they homeworld that Bioware originally had. And that thing sticking from her mandible is... I don't know what, and what for. It would look better if it was sticking from the cheek like on Saren's face, but like that it's just ugly and good for nothing. Looks like males have long fringes and females long mandibles... I wonder how she'll stick helmet on that thing. Males and Fems would need completely different helmet shapes for that. Sad to say but comic female is more turian looking than that model... she would just need fringe and better drawing to look nice and accurate, while model needs complete upper body lifting. I know part of the fanbase like the picture, and don't get me wrong - if I wouldn't know Turians and was looking at her as a totally new alien image, I would like the way she looks, but I know Turians and have ISSUES with her. Knowing how Bioware make most of alien characters in ME, I'm pretty sure I will like her personality maybe even adore her, but not the way she looks like... unless someone arrange her visit in the plastic surgeon^^ Oh and her waist should be wider in proportions to the body, than males. Garrus called it "supportive" and not smooth or thin for example.

Its not like we were the first to just make aliens up in the past 100 years of our technologically advanced existence. The idea of aliens didn't come from movies, they came from men and woman who lived in temples thousands of years ago and painters who painted UFO's and creatures on walls that resemble grays etc. Mayans had a lot of alien like drawings and statues and talked about people from the stars they even pointed to the stars with their temples. Made them mathematically perfect, impossible to do in their time, but somehow the math is perfect. They were too smart for their time, so was many other cultures explaining similar things all over the world apart thousands of miles and thousands of years. They all point to something more. The odds of most cultures taking a interest in the same stars is impossible yet they all point to Orion's Belt like their lives depended on it.

It's nice you know history of aliens drawings and designs among humans, but we are talking about game designs where one counterpart is already there, and looks weery not human like, and not about real world aliens.

Before you judge look at the omega demo with her in game. She doesn't have armor like garrus nor does she look human. Shes pretty sleek, looks like death with her hood. [link] The only thing resembling a human in her is 2 arms and 2 legs. What should she be? Standing upright is the only superior dominate form we know in the universe as proven in cultures all around the world who have speculated of aliens and talked about them since the beginning of time. Most aliens appear standing upright like us humans. Seems like that's the sign most life in the universe shares in common with humans who are technologically advanced.

She looks all to human in proportions and overall look. You don't have to be Einstein to see it. Compared to the male shows this even more. Taking in to account how different male Turians are from humans, her look is odd. And sure fem can look different than male even hell like human with Turian mask, but only if it was planned in the stage when male was designed, yet it didn't happened. We have 3 games without Femturian not even a slightest drawing of how she would look like. Now it looks like she's just fanservice. I'm not and never were talking about her standing upright. I don't know why you even mention about this, all humanoid aliens stand upright in Mass Effect.

I think she looks really cool. But something with the face makes it look like she's a lizard-woman with a mask or something, not that it's actually part of her face.
But non the less, really cool that they finally did a female design, which one of their designers said a few years back was extremely hard. Good thing they managed to do anything at least.

I'm pretty pleased with her overall. The neck is the most distracting thing, considering how different it is from the raptorish structure of the male turians' necks. Otherwise, they didn't make her "bald" like they look in the comics, and I'm very pleased about that. I'm curious to see how she looks in motion, and am looking forward to meeting her!

I actually like it. I would like it more if the design was a bit more "feral" like the males, by actually showing the teeth or with the features being a little pointer or sharper, but overall is pretty good.
