Bioware: "Don't call it Mass Effect 4"In a move meant either to start out early distinguishing between the Shepard Trilogy and whatever BW have planned next, or just because they didn't like how simple it was to refer to it as "ME4", Chris Priestly, long runing Bioware Community Manager, said in a forum statement:
"To call the next game Mass Effect 4 or ME4 is doing it a disservice and seems to cause a lot of confusion here. We have already said that the Commander Shepard trilogy is over and that the next game will not feature him/her. That is the only detail you have on the game.
"I see people saying 'well, they'll have to pick a canon ending'. No, because the game does not have to come after. Or before. Or off to the side. Or with characters you know. Or yaddayaddayadda. Wherever, whenever, whoever, etc will all be revealed years down the road when we actually start talking about it.
"I do not call the game ME4 when I talk about it ever, because [sic] that makes people think of it more as 'what happens after Mass Effect
About This Blog post;Hey, all, :iconindigowolfe:, here.
As it turns out, :iconyukiminamoto: was not the one to put up that post about a new contest.
In short, her account was hacked. Yuki is currently dealing with some personal issues which, for the sake of her privacy, I will not get into.
This particular contest may still happen, I don't know for certain. I appreciate everyone who took the time to leave their thoughts and comments and the people who were looking forward to doing this, I hope you can understand.
I'd like to offer and official apology, we here at the Mass Effect Club are all volunteers for this job and do it in our spare time. We all have things going on, employment, family, personal pursuits, and the like which sometimes make things run around here in a less than efficient manner. Again, we apologize for this.
Thank you for your continued support!
Hello! :iconyukiminamoto: here.
The staff is still debating about this, but we might have a Mass Effect OC Contest.
Maybe. Who knows?
Where do YOU want Mass Effect to go?Hello again, my readers, it is I once more. I couldn't have been more pleased to see that my fellow moderators were willing and able to keep you up to date with the most relevant of Mass Effect news while I've been sadly pulled away by Halo 4.
And by the way, fun fact; the bad guy in Halo 4 is voiced by the same guy as Harbinger. Go figure.
Now I'm not certain if this is still active, but Casey Hudson is taking a Twitter poll asking fans if they want ME4 to go forward or backward in the Mass Effect timeline.
Now don't kid yourself, the next Mass Effect game is a long ways away, all we know right now is that the protagonist will be radically different and the story will go somewhere entirely new.
So, what do you guys think? Oh, and if it pleased you, tweet your opinion with #MassEffect or just #ME and send out your thoughts.
Mass Effect 3 - Happy Ending Mod...
Yet again the Mass Effect Fandom proved that it will not leave the ending in the state it was presented in the game. A certain (fan!) mod was created (and is right now in the testing phase) a Happy Ending Mod for ME3. We can destroy the Reapers, Shepard lives (EDI and Geth too) and most importantly of all we don't have to worry about the Star Child.
Instruction how to install it and the mod itself can be found here:
You can also check how the mod works here on youtube:

ME3 Extended Cut DLC releasing next weekWell, here we are folks, the Extended Cut DLC is coming out for free on next Tuesday for the Xbox, PC and PS3-- PS3 who don't like in North America will have to wait until July 4th.
"The Extended Cut DLC will expand upon the events at the end of Mass Effect 3 through additional cinematic sequences and epilogue scenes” and will “include deeper insight to Commander Shepard’s journey based on player choices during the war against the Reapers... blah blah blah everything we know already.”
I hope you have a somewhat good internet connection because this baby weighs in at 1.9 GB for the whole download.
That's 1.9 gigabytes of DAO-style epilogue slides, people.
Actually, no, according to Bioware, " it will include “additional scenes and epilogue sequences. It provides more of the answers and closure that players have been asking for. It gives a sense of what the future holds as a result of the decisions made throughout the series. And it shows greater detail
Mass Effect 3 Campaign and MultiP/ Beta LeakedYes, if you had not been like me, and had remembered to get up early this morning, you might have actually had the chance to download the Mass Effect 3 beta from the Xbox Live Marketplace before it was taken down.
Still, we have an absolute bevy of new content, information and screenshots over which to pour.
Let's get to it.
On the multiplayer side of things, we this video which pretty much shows the stuff we've seen talked about in interviews and such in previous weeks.
Get it quick before the EA Youtube police find it.
And on the single player side of things, well, I am trying to avoid story spoilers, and most of the single player videos have already been taken down, but I do have a ton of new screenshots.
Rebellion DLC confirmed, also for freeBioware have officially confirmed its new Rebellion DLC for Xbox Live, SEN and PC download this Tuesday on the 29th. European PS3 owners will have to wait until the 30th. No charge will be asked for this content.
Rebellion will be adding new characters, weapons, maps, a mission objective and gear slot.
- The Vorcha Soldier: Foaming at with mouth with the vorcha's in-born aggression, this new addition to the Soldier class brings the pain with the new Bloodlust ability.
- The Vorcha Sentinel: Sick and tired of being blown up, shot, gassed and killed in a variety of other ways by gay turians, these versatile soldiers turn their fury on the invading Reapers, utilizing their Flamer skill to devastating effect.
- The Male Quarian Engineer: This class will play very similarly to the pr
New comic - Mass Effect 3: HomeworldsI know; it's not a title that ends with "tion." Shocking, truly!
If you are like a large portion of the Mass Effect fan base, your favorite character hasn't gotten a comic about them yet. Granted; very few characters have had a comic about them period. But Mass Effect: Homeworlds will be spreading the Dark Horse treatment to more of ME3's characters.
Now, depending on your opinion of the comics thus far, you may be thinking that being given the Dark Horse treatment isn't exactly the best thing. Well, there's not much I can do to assuage you in that regard.
If you've liked the Dark Horse comics so far, then here's a reason to be excited:
Mass Effect: Homeworlds will be a series of --from what I gather-- unconnected issues, with each of the four concentrating on a different member of the main cast in ME3, starting with James Vega.
Mass Effect: Homeworlds will be coming this April.
Yes, that is after Mass Effect 3 is released.
I'm rather excited for this. Back story is something I always
*UPDATE* ASHLEY ARMOR! (FINAL DESIGN)You heard me. This is real, honest to goodness armor.
Check it out. http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/378397_10150425717371645_85811091644_8600346_1300425487_n.jpg
This is essentially Female Shepard's ME2 armor with an Alliance color scheme.
And it's armor. Let it be denied by none.
And it's shiny...
Another look at the appearances of the returning and the new characters in Mass Effect 3.
(I feel like I've posted these pictures a thousand times, but in case someone missed them, or wished for a better quality version, here they are.)
The presence of armor boobs in Mass Effect is one of the universal elements of the series' aesthetic. Although the bun in the concepts still look great.
Oh, Kaidan, Kaidan, Kaidan... will the baret be in the game? Because it's the bee's knees,

What's in YOUR Shepard's bathroom?I found this prompt in one of my writing reference books. Basically, in order to get to know a character better, you go into their bathroom and nose through their stuff. SO, here's what you can find in Dakota's:
pumpkin scented shower-gel
mint green mini-rubber ducky that sits on her sink
lavender bar-soap by sink
pastel green toothbrush
pale pink strawberry flavored lip-gloss
eye drops for tired, over-worked eyes
oversized lavender bath towel
pastel green bathrobe
autumn-scented moisturizing cream
pile of laundry
lavender terrycloth bath mat
The ducky was a joke from one of her ME2 squaddies, not sure who, not sure why. Also-bet you can't ever guess what her favorite color is...
And the EA servers are trolling again.
A much loved Rose..This is one of my rose stock images, that I originally uploaded in February 2012,
and has somehow managed to become very popular
even though dA now has much higher resolution stock photos.
So this is my thank you to all of you who continue to work with this image.

Very Late ME3 Alternate EndingI know how late this is considering the Extended Cut came out quite a while ago, but I have recently been replaying all the ME games and I'm on holidays with nothing better to do so this is my idea for a better ending.
In the final battles you can call upon your war assets to help you fight, similar to Dragon Age Origins. You must fight through hordes of Reaper forces which will get progressively harder the closer you get to the beam. The actual run to the beam will stay the same. Everything on the Citadel will stay the same except for the God-Child. Shepard will activate it and pass out/die.
Ending 1. If galactic readiness rating is low then Shepard will activate the Crucible, but it won't work, their plan ruined the cycle continues and everyone dies. It will play Liara's message to future races. It will then flick to Shepard in a bar with Garrus and the crew in the background. Dialogue will vary depending on who/if Shepard romanced anyone.
Ending 2. If galactic readiness rating is me
Are Elvish, Klingon, Dothraki and Na'vi real? You may have seen this video wandering around the web but it's quite simply brilliant.
I won't say much on it as really you need to watch the video. What I will say tho is the video is done by John McWhorter and it has a really beautiful animation.

Why equipment doesn't matter all that muchOh god, I wanted that Wacom Intuos tablet so badly.
I was 16 years old at that time. I had already seen so much amazing art on the internet for the last few years. Digital art, to be precise. And I wanted to be able to do that as well. I had a computer, I had installed Photoshop. The only thing that I didn't have was money. I was completely broke. Note: it's 2004 we're talking about, here. 10 years ago (yeah, I'm old) when computers still costed a fortune and one almost had to take an extra mortgage in order to be able to pay a tablet. Back then, the average Intuos tablet costed as much as the average computer; a whole damn lot of money.
I had already been drawing for years, back then.
I occasionally scanned my drawings. But as my scanner was utter crap (all scanners where, back then), my preferred medium was pencil (that never does well with scanners) and I wasn't that good with adjusting colors in Photoshop... most of my drawings ended in utter digital disappointment.
Shakarian PlaylistOkay, so I've based this, in addition to the in-game Shakarian romance, on Roarkshop 's fic "Sense and Flexibility" and for the time being I've separated it into 3 Acts: Post-Death & Psychosis Era, Then Friendly (Romantic) Banter, and then Finally Garrus Building Up the Courage to Tell Shepard His Feelings. I will (surely) add on, but it's 3AM.

RIP Robin SachsThis has been going around on tumblr, so you're there, you probably already heard. If not, I figured I should make a post about it here as well. Robin Sachs, passed away on February 1st. He also voiced Seneschal Varel, Lord Pyral Harrowmont, Murdock and a lot of other people in Dragon Age as well as everybody's favorite bad ass mercenary Zaeed.
Farewell, and have fun at the bar.
Keep in Touch!
